Subject: Nothing Much--Tired
I had my last class in Con Law last night and tonight I have my last
property class. I'm tired. Weather is still beautiful and
supposed to get warmer. Can't wait until 9:31 p.m. Dec. 14
when finals are over.
I've been trying to help a woman in the next office with some sort of
career or education move. She feels stuck. She doesn't have
a B.A. or B.S. yet, but she keeps asking me about going to law school.
I've told her several times she needs a bachelors before she could even
think about getting accepted. I don't know if she didn't quite
understand me, or believe me, but she actually called the law school
today about it, because she told me, "you're right, you do need a four
year degree to get in; I thought you might just need a two year degree
to get in. I told her today, that she needs to just get the B.A.
done, in whatever way possible, even taking correspondence, because
otherwise, so many educational doors are absolutely shut. Oh well.
I got sort of re-excited about law today, because I really like con law,
which is basic rights type stuff, often theoretical at a high level, but
also involved with rather small things (can you wear a jacket saying
f... the draft for example) or can the elec. comp. turn off your power
without giving you a notice, etc. It made me wish I were younger,
because I could really be good in this area. Hope you're okay.
