Subject: Missed X-Files
Studied almost all weekend, with one short trip to a bookstore, some
walking, and some napping. I turned on the t.v. at 7:57 to watch
X-files and the FOX station was "out." I spent almost 15 minutes
or more trying to get through to find out what was going on and the
cable co. said the FOX transmitter was out. So, by then the show
was half over anyway. I started taking a bath, leaving the channel
set on Fox, and about 5 min. before the end of the show, FOX came back
on. At least I was able to see the resolution of the time warp.
I think this is probably the first time I have ever missed an episode of
X-files, because usually I have taped it or watched it. Oh Well.
Nothing much else. Weather is supposed to finally get cold, the
very night of my first final which is this Thurs. I'm very
restless at work because I feel I need to be studying, at home.
How are you? Did you get X-files? I was thinking about you
and your piano playing for some reason. You haven't mentioned it
in quite a while. So, about the r-ball--are the top people letting
you play them now. Your knees must be in far better shape than
mine.
I got some neat books at the store, but I'll talk about them later.
The bookstore is a small independent one which has been in Mont. for
years, and is the last one left. They are trying to survive and
recently started an e-mail list. They e-mailed about a bunch of
bargain books they had and I took a quick trip over Sat. Elizabeth
I did injure my left knee earlier in the year playing racquetball which I think it was probably a bad sprain of the LCL or some other ligament and could hardly walk for a couple of days and then used a cane for another week. It did get better and after three or so weeks I was back playing but wearing a knee brace and moving more carefully on the court. I continued wearing a knee brace when I played racquetball from then on.
