I'm glad you survived, it sounds like it is always a struggle near the end of the semester.  I know what you mean about wanting to zonk after such a struggle, I feel the that way after a intense work schedule.  I still drink.  Usually a beer after racquetball (two on Fridays), or a glass of wine with dinner.  I don't usually drink hard liqueur except the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays which we have somewhat of a tradition of having white Russians.  The NPR station here is THE NPR station coming from DC where the NPR headquarters is.  They play classical music all weekdays with news on the half hour until 9am.  At 3pm they have all things considered going until 6 or 7.  I typically listen to NPR on the way to work in the morning and often all day.  About half of the time I listen to a jazz station which is more popular jazz and not as much the black jazz.  I also have the RealPlayer (download from https://www.real.com) installed on my PC and there are hundreds of "radio" stations on the web.  I have been listening to Netradio: Cafe Jazz a lot lately.  Quality is pretty good but on some days when the net is busy it breaks up and I give up on it.
