Subject: Adjustment
I'm having a little trouble making the adjustment to free time. I
find that my tempo is still "move fast" even when I don't have to be.
I had a few petty errands to do yesterday and I found I was doing them
in the same tempo I would if I had to "go home and study" or "go to
class by 6:30." I consciously made myself ease back. One
errand I did was to pick up Dec.'s Wired. Usually I get it much
earlier, but from prior to Thanksgiving until Monday night I did nothing
extraneous. Of course, I'd like to see the new Star Trek film.[1]
Last night, I just did not want to go to bed. It was as if going
to bed when I am "free" is a waste of time. I stayed up until
almost midnight. School nights its between 9:30 and 10:30. I
know 9:30 sounds early, but I usually read for an hour until about
10:30. If I go to bed at 10:30 I try not to read.
Well, more later. Elizabeth
[1] Star Trek: Insurrection was released on December 11th which was based on the Star Trek: The Next Generation TV series.
