I also am still fascinated with snow. I really like to see it
fall, how it makes everything all white and to play in it. I also
really like how it makes everything really quite when it is falling.
We got about three inches last Friday morning. It was supposed to
change to sleet around 9am, then to freezing rain and finally rain but
it continued to snow until noon and did change some to sleet in the
afternoon but didn't get much rain so the snow has stuck around.
I went to see "You Have Mail"[1]
Sunday with Anne (my daughter). It was much better than I
expected. Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan really work well together
(remember Sleepless in Seattle?). It was funny and heart warming
type of movie. It was interesting to see how their email personas
were different from then real life personas.
No I haven't heard about the movie Pi. It might be showing at one
of the downtown DC theaters that to the off beat movies but I seldom
make it into town to see time because it is a real pain to get there and
to park. I also wanted to see Enemy of the State but also planned
to wait for the video.
No I haven't sold my Casio yet, one of Julie's friends was interested
but if she doesn't want it I'll put an ad in the paper in a couple of
months. Right now is not a good time to sell it being just after
the Christmas spending.
Work is a bit slow. It looks like the new project is being
delayed. The ATF manager who was in charge was a total idiot.
We had heard rumors he was "on his way out" and last Friday heard that
he was put on "Administrative Leave". We are not sure yet what
that means but would expect the start of the project to be delayed.
In the mean time my supervisor's boss wants me to put together some
presentation materials about our group and projects which can be used
for presentations to potential new clients. Doesn't sound like
much fun but is better than having nothing to do.

[1] The movie is actually named “You've Got Mail” which is what the AOL client would say when new mail was received in your account. Spam email was non-existent at this time so when you received an email it was likely from someone you knew.
