Subject: Nano relationships
I find the concept of nanotechnology quite interesting. I have
read several sci-fi books about the future possibilities of nanotech.
As of today there it is about where genetics was 20 years ago, just
starting out. I have read about some pumps, motors, etc. that have
been built so small that they work at the molecular level but these are
just some initial simple devices. Do you watch Star Trek Voyager?
They have had several episodes about nanotech. The Borg use it to
assimilate other races. I believe it has great potential in the
future but it is probably 20 to 50 years away.
Yes, 17 years is a long time to invest in a relationship is not
something that I would easily give up. If it was a year or two
relationship and the person moved out I would probably call it quits but
I have too much invested in our relationship to give up on it so easily.
Oh I have occasionally seen an attractive young woman and thought of
what it would be like to date again but, as I remember from years ago,
dating can be exciting at first but is also very frustrating. I
much prefer the comfort of a well established, mature relationship.
I started this message yesterday but had several work things come up and
wasn't able to finish. I said a little more this morning but I
have to leave to go downtown for a couple of meetings today. Till
tomorrow, Larry.
