Subject: Internet Going Down
Just a quick note because I just got word the internet service is going
down at 11:00 and won't be back up until 5, so that's it for my whole
work day. I hope you have a good weekend. Not much to write
about. SO many people skipped or didn't attend class last night.
I think that is a disaster tactic. It's the class so many people
failed last term.
Nothing much on deck for my weekend except to try to cope with my
mounting anxiety about school. I know you probably think its
over-wrought, but I'd like to get a few of the honors attached to having
a high GPA, like summa cum laude, for example. I don't have a lot
of cards to play, and at my age I'm one down already, so I'd like to at
least have my grades speak for me. Also Law Review, serving on
that is grade related. There are a couple of really top awards,
but some of those count in social contributions to the school, which I
don't have. I hate to wreck it with one grade. I should be
geared to go this weekend though, as I spent a lot of last weekend
organizing. At some point I've got to do something about a bed.
I'm sleeping on three couch cushions, which ACTUALLY is quite
comfortable as they are very thick. I'm out like a light, and I
think I'm actually sleeping better than on my futon. Also, I think
my allergies are getting better. I wish I could afford some type
of hypoallergenic bed. I may have to break down and just get a
single, but the truth is with my height any bed except a kingsize seems
too small. I remember when you moved to Melbourne the first thing
you bought was a big king size bed. Oh well, so much for bedroom
talk. I've got to do some work while I have the connection.

Sleeping on three couch cushions, some things never seem to change. I remember back in 1976 when she was at my place in the spare bedroom she slept on a thin single mattress on the floor.
