Subject: Quick Note
I'm just here for a short while (Friday) as I have a library meeting
across town and I'm not coming back. One of the persons has asked
us all to his house for lunch, which is nice. He just moved out of
my apt.
complex where I live, where he had lived for more than 20 years. I
think the low interest rates finally convinced him to get out. A
while back, when I was so dis-satisfied at the place, I talked to him,
and he had said that "he couldn't move." A few weeks later he did.
I was so surprised. It's Spring Break, but as one student said
last night, for some of us that just means we don't have to go to class,
ONLY WORK. I repeated that to the professor and he said one of the
nice things about just having got back in academia is the schedule.
I totally agree.
Well, I forget is it this time of the year you have an annual hike or
pilgrimage or something. My plans are simple--study, study, study,
but also I found out "Affliction" is playing at the alternative theatre
and I will see that. Also, I think I will go see a movie this
afternoon, possibly the Clint Eastwood flick, or possibly "Analyze This"
but I NEVER go to comedies. It would be a first. I got
impatiens last Sunday and I will pot those over "the break." I
think I may take a day or two off, as well, but haven't decided which
days yet. Elizabeth
