Subject: Scotland
Well, I am so excited about this Scotland thing. I've been
thinking and thinking where do I REALLY want to travel. When I
found this information I felt "I have to go there." I've thought
alot about India (but I don't want to get sick), and also China.
In fact there is a summer law student program in China run by a
university that I've thought about doing. Forget Africa anymore and also
South America. I always wanted to do Macchu Pichu, but I would
prefer not to get raped by bandits. Anyway, the web address is a mile
long, but if you go to Alta Vista and type in "women's hiking trips
Scotland" it will be the first hit. It is Rua Reidh Lighthouse
(sp?). This may motivate me to get through law school and also
lose weight and get in shape and then take the trip. I don't know
if there is any way I could even plan to go while law school is on. And,
unfortunately if I drop down to taking two courses I won't be through
until 2001 (and take the bar in Feb or July 2002). I do get a longish
break in August, but even so it is pretty short. I hadn't heard
about those acre wide fungi. I did know that mushrooms come up
from mycelia in the ground that can be feet or wide across.
Sometimes you see those fairy rings of mushrooms in a circle and they
mark out where the underground growth is. Well, I thought it was a
good episode. What am I going to do when the X-files goes off the
air? It is the most I have ever been addicted to a t.v. show.

I also wanted to go to Machu Pichu but there was considerable unrest in Peru at the time. I would go with a yoga group to Machu Pichu five years later.
