I've been trying to get off an email to you for the past several days.
Things have been really busy at work. Last week I had to go to
West Virginia again for a day, another day we had a engineer out from
the software company we are using, another day some ATF guys were out
for presentations, and so on. The Administrative Office of the
U.S. Courts project may be on again, it was the one in which they wanted
the people to work downtown. They are now asking for Systems
Architect and they want to put my name in. It seems I'm the only
one in our division that has the right background for the project.
It does sound like an interesting project but it would be a real pain to
have to travel downtown everyday.
I found your story about the "Smoked Employees" amusing. At least
they try to do something for the employees. Our company does quite
a few employee events like that. Each year each division has a
division event and there is one or two company events. Our
division just did a dinner boat cruise on the Potomac for employees and
spouses last month, Julie and I went and enjoyed it. The company
picnic is this coming weekend, I'm skipping that. Well just
a short note to let you know I'm still here but now back to work.
