I figured you were busy with projects. Rather selfishly it would
be interesting to me if you did the unified courts job, but I understand
you don't want to do the drive. Is there any way you could set
your own hours to miss the rush (or is that possible)or even anyway you
could do some of it at home. Just brainstorming. Well
X-files--at the end of last season Mulder was dead (HA). At the
end of this season he's in the loony bin. Talk about cliff hangers
to make you wait all summer and well into the Fall.
I did two interesting non-law things this weekend. I went to see
one of the documentaries Spielberg has done on an oral history of the
holocaust. This one was interviewing four survivors of the camps
and a Nazi doctor. I still can't get over how everyone kept NOT
knowing what was going on, or claimed to NOT know. Sunday I went
to a performance of Brahms Requieum by the Montgomery Chorale. I
had heard them do little pieces here and there and they are quite good.
Unfortunately the theatre was just a little too warm, not unbearable,
but a lot of people were fanning. It wasn't as long as I expected
it to be so that was good. Hallelulliah (sp?) there is a CHANCE I
did not get an F in that course. I went by Friday late after work
and the administrative secretary was still there. She HAD the
grades but could not release them because a number of students screwed
up on their secret number and she needed the profs permission to release
the others because of that--and of course he split out of town after
turning in the grades. But I was talking to her, telling her how
hard the test was, and I said, "I think I made an F." Without
thinking she said, "You didn't make an F because I remember your grade,"
BUT IMMEDIATELY SHE SAID--DON'T YOU DARE TELL ANYONE I TOLD YOU THAT.
We talked for a while and I said, "Are you sure you know my name."
I asked because there are so many students. She said, "Yes, I know
your name." I wasn't sure because a while back I went in the
office and she had asked what my name was. I think she slipped the grade
to me because recently I put information together her on aspartame
(Equal) because she drinks alot of diet drinks and had heard it was bad.
I would LOVE not to have to repeat that course (in part because of the
time, but also because it is so costly.) Well, how about those
Star Wars people who have been camping out for weeks. I saw it on
the news. They've rigged up cam corders, phones, etc., etc.
What a lark--OH to have so much free time.
