Subject: Not Much
Work has been creepingly slow for some reason, after an extreme week a
while back. I've just given up in terms of what I do at work.
So far this morning I've made coffee and instant grits, read the
newspaper, looked through Wed.'s grocery adds, and checked my e-mail.
Yesterday I did some work, but also listened to a law school tape.
Today I plan to type up my notes for two classes. Mem. Day is not
a recognized holiday here, but we can use paid time off to be off if we
want. My plan is to leave early today (Fri) and take Monday off.
Tuesday I have to go out to a hospital we bought which is now being
closed because of losses and see if they have any library property I can
use. They're bringing all the property over here that can be used.
I missed out on getting a small refrig for my office because when I read
my e-mail about having them to give out they were already all snapped
up. I may try to see The Thirteenth Floor this weekend, but lately
I have been disappointed in almost every movie I've chosen to see.
That's good about your ear. That was a close call. Have you
been to Denver? I applied for a job there not too long ago and got
an interview--actually I'm wrong, I think it was Colorado Springs, but
they were not going to pay for me to come out. The interview was
they said only going to be "about an hour." On short notice,
expensive air fare etc., I decided not to go. I can't think of
much else to say. Does this mean the court project is out of the
question? Elizabeth
