Subject: Insane Monday
Not much to say. An insanely busy day. I'm just now (4:00)
eating my lunch, but actually I didn't get to eat my breakfast bagel
until almost 11, so I'm just running behind. Did you watch the TNT
movie special on Bill Gates and Apple and Microsoft. I kept
thinking about you, wondering, why isn't Larry the richest man in the
world. The only thing that comes to mind is being in the south.
They were all at Berkeley and where Harvard? I don't know.
I'm wanting more and more to be indulgently rich or comfortably rich.
I tried to assess my talents. I don't think I have an inventive
mind. I'm not a business person. My only possible talent is
to write, but unless I do a best seller that is not the path to riches.
Studying "Trusts" in law schools really puts a salary in perspective,
when you spend all weekend studying million dollar trusts left to
children and charities, etc.
Oh well. I feel pretty good, otherwise. Just a short note.
