The game I got is called Blizzard. It's a sci-fi war strategy
game, there is a war going on against some weird bug like creatures,
each step you start with a minimal set of people and equipment and you
have to gather resources, build structures, train troops and at the same
time fight the bugs. Thanks for the separation, divorce info, I'm
not sure what is going to happen but it looks like we are moving in that
direction.
Julie and I were at a restaurant Wed. night and I told her that I had
dinner with Susan and she got so mad she up and left. It actually
was interesting for we started to talk more about separation (we can't
quite say the "D" word yet) and we asked about how/what we would want if
we separated. I said that I would like to remain friends and do
things together occasionally and I would probably see other women.
She replied that she knew someone who I might be interested in, and I
asked who and she said Susan, the yoga teacher. That's when I said
I had dinner with Susan, probably bad timing on my part. I tried
to explain that we were only friends but she got so upset she walked
out. As far as "friends" vs "relationship" I interpreted Susan's
wanting to be friends and not a relationship as not wanting the
involvement and seriousness (sex included) of a relationship but
remaining more casual. Of course strictly speaking friendship is a
relationship. Well anyway, Julie is not talking with me and she is
going to her father's for the weekend. I have sent an email to
Susan asking her if she would like to get to together this weekend but
have not heard back from her. I intend to continue the friendship
(or whatever) with Susan.

I sat there in shock as Julie got up and stormed out of the restaurant. It was like some scene out of a movie, a hushed silence as the people sitting at nearby tables whispered to each other and glanced in my direction. Should I go after her? No, I thought she would come back. A few minutes later the waitress brought the food we ordered to the table and asked if I needed anything else. I so no, I’m fine, and begin to slowly eat my food expecting Julie to return any minute. I finished my diner and the waitress approached and asked if I wanted desert and I tell her no, just the check and a to-go box, and she glances at Julie’s untouched dinner on the table with understanding. I pay the bill and return home thinking about what just happened. I was just friends with Susan, nothing more, is Julie saying I can’t have women friends? Also why did she mention Susan’s name in the first place, had she been spying on me? Even so I had nothing to hide which is why I told Julie I had diner with Susan. I think this was the first time I seriously considered I wanted to get a divorce.
Well Elizabeth could say, “I told you so.”
