Subject: Back to work.
Well I back to work. My vacation was very relaxing. I went
down to N.C. to see my parents who have a little cottage in the
mountains. It's about a 8-9 hour drive which is not too bad of a
drive. I got "The Winter King" on tape and listened to it down and
back and still did not finish it. I have 3hrs of tapes to go so
I'll be listening it to/from work. Didn't do much the whole week,
read a book (trash action novel), went to the flea market, farmer's
market, slept late, took naps in the afternoon, helped my dad do some
repairs around the cottage, played cards with all the retirees at night.
It was real relaxing time. It was not as cool as I would have
liked, around 90 during the day but it did cool off at night.
I was going to skip the Blair Witch movie, The Iron Giant did look
interesting. There are a couple of other movies I wanted to see
but don't remember what they are at the moment. Perhaps I'll catch
on this weekend.
It will be interesting to see how the Y2K water problem turns out.
The more I find out lately the less I'm worried about the Y2K. I
expect some local problems but no big nation wide problems like
electrical outage all over the U.S. I plan to take some minor
precautions, have water, some food and lay in a supply of firewood.
I signed up for two yoga classes next semester, I have been really
liking it. In some ways it reminds me of the modern dance and
ballet I took, the classes, stretching and workout. No racquetball
this week as the club is closed for their summer clean up week. I
might do a couple of short bike rides in the evening instead.
It looks like I'll be going to Colorado again next week for two days but
only if they get the contract in place in time.

I have never seen The Blair Witch Project. After going to see The Exorcist back in 1973 I quit seeing horror movies.
