The First to Go

On October I received the following note from Mom in which she tells me that Keith Combs had died. I was quite surprised.  I had known Keith from junior high school through high school and we were somewhat friends. He lived a couple streets over from us and a few times I stopped by his house on the way home from school. He was also in the same Boy Scout troop.  So I knew him, but we hung out with different groups at I saw less of him in high school.  Still, it was a shock to hear he died, we all expected to live for many years.  Keith would be the first of the class of ’70 to go.
