Washington DC is beautiful in the spring with the cherry blossoms, flowering beds of tulips and pansies. We spent one afternoon at the National Arboretum where the azaleas were in full bloom.

At the end of April my brother David came up from Florida and spent a week with us and we rode the Metro into to town and went to several of the museums and monuments, some for the first time.
