Sad Death in Marion County, Fla.
Wacahoota, Fla., June 10, The citizens of this neighborhood have lately been very much shocked and grieved by the violent death of Miss Hattie Mixson, a young lady just merging into womanhood.  On Sunday last she visited her cousin, Miss E. who was going to leave on a visit to some friends in Georgia, and bid her "good-bye, forever," which expression was not remarked at the time as having any particular meaning.  The same evening she procured a vial of morphine secretly and swallowed nearly half its contents, which provide fatal a few hours later. Her parents had ben aroused by her struggles, but just in time to see her in the agonies of death.  Miss Hattie was the very picture of health, and possessed considerable personal attractions, and the wonder is that one so you and fair could find another to live for.
