Nelson Mixon, son of Nathan and Sarahann Sparrows Mixon, was b. in Conecuh County, AL Apr 24, 1819, d. Nov 6, 1893. He was one of the sons that chose to remain in AL and not to move with his father, Nathan to Louisiana. In 1841 he m. Elizabeth Jane “Eliza” McCall, b. May 15, 1822, d. Jan 1, 1904.  Both bur. McCall Cemetery, Conecuh County, AL.

Irvin Mixon d. Feb 5, 1867, leaving an estate of lands and a few thousand dollars in accounts and notes receivable. Nelson Mixon asked for administration and it was granted. He names the heirs of the estate as Martha Mixon, widow, and the following children: Lucretia Thompson, wife of Marion Thompson, Eveline Mixon and Irvin Mixon. The 1870 census of Caldwell Parish, LA, shows Martha Mixon and three children previously named with her. The marriage records of Caldwell Parish discloses that Eveline Mixon m. J.J. Warren on Dec 18, 1872.
