We did a trip to see the tides at the Bay of
Fundy on the west coast of Nova Scotia which has one of the highest
tides in the world at 52 feet. The tide comes in so fast that
it creates a wave, or tidal bore as it called,as
it goes up rivers and creeks.
Creek with tide out where we waited to see the tidal bore. We were standing on the bridge that crossed the creek.

Tidle wave approaching. Ok, it wasn't the 3 foot high wave I was expecting but it was still interesting.

The tidal bore lasted about 30 minutes then we went to the nearby dock on the bay where we saw boats sitting in the water.

and a few more.
We then all got fresh lobster for lunch which we ate at the dock.

And while we were eating the tide went out leaving the boats in the mud.

And if you look close you will see me standing at the bottom. It was a bit creepy, I kept wanting to look back
over my shoulder expecting to see the water come
rushing back in.
View from me stading out in the bay looking back into the dock. Where I was stading would have
been under 50 feet of water.
