Subject: Breaking rules
I'm at the library, and I've just noticed they have a no e-mail sign.
Today was the absolute pits. The hospital had a transformer blow
and my electricity went out at about 10 o'clock. I had emergency
power come back up for lights, but I had no computer, no fax, and no
xerox machine. After a short while I felt as if I were going stark
raving mad, pacing, creating things to do. I am used to spending
hours on the computer and without it my job vaporizes.
That is totally bizarre about your wife's hairdresser. I wonder
why she never mentioned it.
One of the things enjoyable about starting to write you was that I eat
lunch alone, and don't have any buddies at work. Once in a while
(yesterday) a friend comes to eat with me. Yesterday was her
birthday and she came over (I paid). To make it less boring I set
aside that time to read the daily paper.
I'm glad you seem to like your job. I have found it such a relief
to enjoy mine, although at times when it is slow I have to be creative
to get through the day.
I discovered a neat internet site. Have you ever taken the
Myers-Briggs inventory. I found an online version and took the
test (I haven't changed, as I also took it years ago). It was fun.
I've always felt that the type inventory was the best tool I ever had to
understand myself. Apparently the type I am is only found in about
2% of the population (intuitive, introverted, thinker). I'll try
and get the web address as I got into it through several layers and
don't recall it right off. I think you would find it fun.
The explanatory pages for explaining the types are quite good. The
Myers-Briggs helped explain to me why I find it so difficult to relate
to many people. That gave me comfort, to have that understanding.
I have the early edition of the book from which the explanations came,
but I didn't know there was a Book 2 out. (Please Understand Me II)
I have not been writing to pec.com until you said you got it
straightened out. I better get off. Some smart ass kid just
came by.
I'll communicate later. I was in agony not having access today.

Again, there seems to be a missing email from me as Elizabeth mentions
something happening with Julie’s hairdresser and that I said I like my
new job.
