Subject: These are the Good Old Days
I got caught up on things this afternoon around 4:15 and was reading
magazines when I got your message so I thought I would reply.
Tomorrow morning I have to go by my old job to turn in my badge, credit
card, etc. and sign some papers so I'll be in late.[1]
I then have a meeting at 11am to with the "boss" to review my suggested
proposal alternatives so I knew I would not be able to reply in the
morning.
Lamb sandwiches are great, that's what I had for lunch today.
I never heard back about that job interview. I will probably send
off a email this week asking about it.
I'm not sure what you mean by "more" friends with Wendy. The last
time I saw her was about the same time I last saw you. Her parents
live in Indialantic, which is the beach community next to Melbourne.
I was went to lunch one day at this diner on the beach in Indialantic
and she was there with her parents and we spoke briefly. That was
the last I saw of her. I have no idea what she is doing but I do
know that she did have at least two kids which would be pretty much
grown now and either in high school or early college. I sent a
longer message to Sean this morning that kinda sumed up where I am at
and how I got here. I asked about them. Sean in his first
reply said he only checked that email account a couple of times a week
so I was quite surprised when about an hour later I got a reply in which
he said he printed the message out and would give it to Wendy. In
his first message he said they dropped their AOL account at home so it
looks like Wendy does not work and is not "into" computers. I
doubt that she ever used her degree in computer science. I hope
she writes back and I find out.
We just finished our first 11 week Yoga 1 class. It was pretty
basic in which we learned about 8-10 poses. In the end about six
of the poses are strung together in what is called the Sun Salute which
doing three or for times in a row is a pretty good work out and is very
relaxing. This week we start the Yoga 1-2 class which is in
between the 1 and 2 class. It also runs for 11 weeks.
No you did not tell me you signed up for the Cyber Law course. You
will have to let me know how it works out.
Making business cards is quite simple. If you go to almost an
office supply store or computer store you can find business card paper,
$5-$10. What it is, is 8 1/2 by 11 inch paper that is heaver stock
and has "pre-cut" cards on it. The pre-cut is not all the way
though, you kind of punch them out after printing. The "Avery"
brand is pretty standard everywhere. As for software you can use
Microsoft Word, select "Labels" from the tools menu, select the Avery
Business Card paper type, then print, volia, you have business cards.
They will be just text cards but you can select various colors.
(actually you probably can put some simple graphics on it using MS
Word). There is also various freeware and shareware programs on
the web that do a bit better job. Most Avery label displays in
stores also have a "Business Card Pack" which includes the Avery
business card program.
Write a book together? That sounds interesting. I would be
willing to give it a try. How would we pick a subject, style,
fiction, not-fiction, etc?
Well, time to go.

[1] I was turning in my badge from BVS. Even
though I had been working at PEC for several weeks, I was still
“officially” employed by BVS due to the layoff package I got.
