Well, much to his surprise the present governor lost last night, and
very early and very clearly. Some are saying it is because the
other candidate promised a lottery for Alabama, but I think many people
just got fed up with the present governor acting like a goon. For
example, he deliberately (?) uses the word "ain't" in his speeches. The
winner is not ideal, but he's not an embarrassment. It was over by
9:00 and so I got to walk after class. It was cool and there was a
full moon which made it nice. It has been so busy today I've
worked non-stop practically. Everybody wanted research done.
I'm supposed to have my annual review soon, ending my first year here,
which is supposed to mean a raise as well. Working here has some
demands. Before your annual review each year you have to have
accumulated so many numbers of educational hours, you have to do a
physical exam, go to a core review session on the operation of the
hospital, and another program as well.
If you don't get it all in your raise gets delayed, but I've finished
everything. Hope you are doing okay given the circumstances.
I imagine the weekend will be tough, if Julie follows through with her
plans.
Moving, or helping someone move is taxing under normal circumstances.
DON'T FORGET TO TAPE OR WATCH THE X-FILES WHICH I THINK STARTS THIS
SUNDAY. Bye for now. Elizabeth
