Good morning, hope you had a good weekend. I continued to work on
the pool/garden this weekend. It had rained for three days
straight (thurs-sat) and it stopped Saturday night. Sunday was
just a picture perfect day with the high around 75. We did a
short, 18mile, bike ride down Rock Creek Park. This was Julie's
first since her eye problem. Anne (our daughter) took me (and
Julie) out to dinner last night for an early father's day. She is
going to be out of town next weekend so we decided to do it this past
Sunday. We went to a Memphis Barbecue, it was OK but the service
was terrible.
Julie and I also went to see the Truman Show on Saturday during the
rainy afternoon. I found it very entertaining. Julie pointed
out several interesting things after the movie, the main character was
named "Tru(e)-Man", the "God-like" Director in the movie was named
"Christ-Of" and the name of the boat was "Santa Maria" taking Truman to
the "new world". I totally missed these during the movie.
Yes, work has been interesting and FUN. I really like the playing
around with new software and doing web work is really fun.
I'm not sure how Money could have rated DC the best place to live with
the traffic, crime, and high cost of living. It does have a lot of
culture factors, agreed. I guess the "best" place is just a matter
of what you want and tradeoffs.
